Like many of you, I was up late last night watching the election results. This morning, as I'm still trying to process the outcome of the election and what is happening in our country, I found the following article by Albert Mohler very helpful. I encourage you to read the article here.
Also, in light of our study in James 5, and the emphasis on prayer that we looked at last Sunday and will see again this Sunday, we should view the things going on around us as a motivation to pray with more fervor--for our country, and for our new president-elect.

I so appreciate the article posted by Dr. Albert Mohler as always he shows the courage of his convictions and yet remains very graceful...no matter our feelings or who we voted for I agree wholeheartedly that we as Christians should constantly be praying and supporting the President-Elect Obama not attempting to undermine him but showing the respect due to our appointed leaders.
As an African-American I find myself still in awe of the historical precedence that has occured yet I take all this in its proper perspective I will not elevate President-Elect Obama higher than he should be and will continue to give God the glory now and forever
Thank you,
DeAnn
